Bridal hair and makeup, Cape Town, since 2019
This is what I'm doing in the four hours before you walk. Each part has a reason, and the method page explains them in order.

- Face-framing pieces Two left loose on purpose, for the wind.
- Anchor braid Hidden, and it holds everything.
- Veil comb seat Pinned to the braid, not to loose hair. Marked with the single marigold dot.

What a booking is
A trial, a morning, and a small pouch left behind with the person you trust most.
The trial. Every bride sits for a trial first, six to ten weeks before the wedding. It takes about two and a half hours beside a window in real daylight and costs R1,600. Within three days you get a written chart of every product and every pin, so nothing on the morning is a guess.
The morning. I arrive 45 minutes before the first chair and plan the whole morning backwards from when your photographer walks in. The bride's hair and makeup is R4,800. Bridesmaids and mothers are R950 for hair or makeup, R1,750 for both. You're the second-last chair, never the last, so nobody rushes your face.
The pouch. Once the veil is on and I've checked you from three angles, your maid of honour gets a small pouch: your lip colour, the liner, two blotting papers and four spare pins. It's enough for the toasts, the kissing and whatever the south-easter does on the lawn.

The season
Bookings open 14 months ahead. Closed Mondays, and all of July.
October to March Saturdays usually go eight to ten months out.
Bookings open fourteen months ahead, and I take one wedding a day, never two. Tuesday-to-Friday small ceremonies are easier to fit in, even in December.
I'm away for the whole of July. There's a short note about why on the contact page.
